Honda love.

Prior to paying rent, my largest "big girl" expense was my monthly car payment. Years later, I am left with only three months' worth of payments. Three months. It will be nice having an extra $200 in my bank account each month.

On that note, lately I have been thinking about buying a new car. Everyone has heard me bitch about my car at one point or another. Whether it be the non-automatic locks ("lock your doors, please"), the non-automatic windows (thank goodness I finally decided to invest in a Tolltag), the zero to forty in what seems like 30 seconds, or all those times the curb has run into my car...everyone knows how much grief my car has given me.

Do not get me wrong, I am grateful for my car. If it were up to me, would I have chosen it? No. But I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I was in love with my first car - a hand-me-down Honda Accord. It was my love. It never got the drop or the spoiler I always wanted, but its engine won my heart...until I blew the transmission.

So, for three and a half years, I have been yearning for a Honda to fill that void.

Every one has their list of dream cars. Atop my list of the Mercedes-Benz SLK and the BMW Z4 Roadster 3.0si is the Honda S2000. But right behind them is the Honda Accord or Civic Coupe. I love the simplicity behind the car; the newer model look has completely won me over. But most of all, I love the way Hondas drive.

Knowing me, I will probably keep my Corolla for awhile. Hopefully along with a new look, my hubcaps bring take me and my car smooth sailing for awhile. All I wish for is a trouble-free car. For that, I will be grateful.
